Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Five years’ experience, post certification, in a variety of facets of maintenance of buildings, building services, building service equipment and departmental equipment.
  • Previous experience in a health care facility would be an asset.
  • Experience in the installation of mechanical equipment e.g. heating and ventilating equipment, fans, pumps (vacuum, compressors) and the ability to read blueprints and interpret manuals required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Certificate of qualification as a Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Manitoba/Interprovincial required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Manitoba/Interprovincial certification required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Must have demonstrated skills and knowledge in the repair or reproduction and re-installation of equipment parts.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements
  • Job requires heavy lifting, bending, and working in elevated places on various pieces of equipment (i.e. scaffolds, ladders), as well as the ability to work in confined spaces and enclosures.
