Job description

Certified Electrician

Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a certified Electrician at our Elk Lake location. Starting rate for this position is $43.19 per hour.

What You’ll Do
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner while following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and controls for our Sawmill, Planer and Kilns.
  • Solve problems and work as part of a team focused on machine reliability and breakdown prevention.
What You Offer
  • Sawmill, Planer and energy systems experience preferred.
  • Must be a Red Seal certified journeyman industrial electrician.
  • Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise.
  • Be a positive contributor to a team.
  • Able to communicate effectively with your team and other departments.
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Must have good computer skills.
  • Must be willing to work in a multi‑shift work schedule.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience.
