JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Management Systems Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the development, optimization, and governance of systems and data infrastructure supporting the inventory management function. This role ensures the integrity and visibility of inventory data by overseeing item master data architecture, system workflows, and integrations. The manager will serve as a strategic partner, facilitating cross‑functional collaboration among IT, inventory management, and data governance teams to align system capabilities with operational requirements.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the engineering and continuous improvement of inventory management processes and tools to support data accuracy and scalability.
  • Own and enforce governance over item master data lifecycle, including materials requirement planning parameters, pricing, and other critical attributes—specifically managing SAP MM02 tabs such as Sales Org 1/2, Sales Status, SUOM Change, MVGR5, MRP1‑4, Forecasting, and SCMCS.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define system requirements, design technical solutions, and implement capabilities that support inventory operations.
  • Drive standardization and automation in inventory‑related system processes (e.g., replenishment logic, stock status rules, item setup workflows).
  • Develop and manage automated job scheduling and sequencing for material master data updates to ensure timely and accurate data synchronization across systems.
  • Define, track, and report on KPIs related to system performance, data quality, inventory accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead system testing, change management, and validation activities to maintain system reliability and ensure business continuity.
  • Manage or support data migration, ERP transitions, and system implementation projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with inventory management systems and item master data in a supply chain or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of SAP and system integration concepts.
  • Proven experience leading cross‑functional system initiatives and delivering scalable solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, data mapping, and inventory control methodologies.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel, or BI/reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills with ability to lead change in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in healthcare, distribution, life sciences, or regulated environments is a plus.
