A leading HVAC services provider is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Ottawa. The role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, requiring a certification as an Air Conditioning Mechanic and a G1 Gas Technician license. Candidates should possess valid safety certificates and demonstrate exceptional customer service abilities. This is a unionized, on-call position with a focus on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

  • Open and available to an on-call rotation.
  • Valid safety certificates considered an asset.

Responsibilities

We currently have an opportunity for a HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Ottawa. The HVAC Service Technician will work with clients and other team members to service, maintain and repair our client’s Building Systems. This will include preventive maintenance, routine and emergency service, and project start-up and commissioning. This is a unionized position through Local 787.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the service team to provide exceptional customer service to our clients.
  • Install, maintain, and repair Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems and their components.
  • Document and report work activities verbally and complete necessary paperwork, forms, logs, and reports.
  • Contribute to corporate knowledge sharing systems and participate in the development of tools and template libraries.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a certificate of qualification (C of Q) as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (Ontario – 313A)
  • Must possess a G1 Gas Technician license
  • Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable 5 Year abstract
  • Open and available to an on call rotation
  • RCMP Reliability Clearance or eligible to obtain clearance.
  • Valid safety certificates including: First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform considered an asset.
  • OBT 1 or 2 considered a strong asset
