Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compensation and Benefits, the Human Resources Analyst is responsible for supporting various total rewards programs, including analyzing compensation and benefits data and supporting employee engagement with benefits programs and initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports and collaborates with the team on various total rewards programs to ensure the delivery of quality programs and continuous process improvement.
- Analyzes, reports, and recommends actions based on compensation and benefits data.
- Prepares submissions for market data surveys and analyzes results to support a market-competitive job evaluation process.
- Works collaboratively with the team on the annual compensation review cycle.
- Supports processes and initiatives for employee benefits engagement and program governance.
- Addresses inquiries related to employee and retiree benefits, working with team members and benefits providers on issue resolution, and provides guidance and training for co-op students.
- Tests system enhancements and updates for the compensation and benefits sections of the SuccessFactors HRIS, and supports systems data management, including job evaluation data.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Science, Social Sciences, or related discipline.
- One to three years of progressive HR experience.
- Knowledge of HR programs, systems, and processes, with an understanding of compensation and/or benefits programs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-oriented with the ability to handle difficult situations; customer service experience is an asset.
- Positive learning attitude, receptive to feedback.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, with initiative to improve systems and processes.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills, detail-oriented, with strong numerical skills; experience analyzing large data sets is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLES, IF statements); experience with HRIS systems is preferred.
- Working towards CHRP/CHRL, CCP, or other relevant professional designations is an asset.
Toronto Hydro offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing remote work up to three days per week based on business needs. Employees are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
