HR Recruitment Coordinator
Two Roles
  • Full-time (permanent) _ 35 hours per week
  • Part-time (fixed term until July 2026, with possibility of extension) _ 20 hours per week
Location:

Remote from Home Based Office in BC or Alberta (preference to candidates located in Calgary, Edmonton, Metro Vancouver, Abbotsford, Fraser Valley).

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking an HR Recruitment Coordinator to join the Trimark team. This role will support the recruitment of qualified candidates on behalf of our clients. This role is ideal for a people person who is extremely organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong sense of urgency.

As our HR Recruitment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in sourcing, attracting, and retaining skilled professionals such as Motor Coach Operators, Heavy Equipment Operators, Dispatchers, and Heavy-Duty Mechanics.

Your Core Responsibilities
RECRUITMENT
  • Meet with hiring managers and operations leads to understand labor needs, timelines, site requirements, and certifications needed.
  • Write clear and compliant job postings tailored to trades and field roles.
  • Post roles across the right channels such as skilled trades job boards, industry job boards, associations and social media and referral programs.
  • Proactively source talent using resume databases, LinkedIn, Trade schools and apprenticeship programs, Industry networking events and career fairs and Internal referral programs.
  • Build and maintain talent pools for high‑demand roles (e.g., equipment operators, labourers, electricians, mechanics).
  • Review qualifications, certifications, and licenses (e.g., Red Seal, Class 1/3, WHMIS, CSTS, forklift, heavy equipment).
  • Conduct structured interviews focused on technical competency, Safety awareness, Reliability and work history and assess physical job requirements where appropriate (BFOR).
  • Advise job applicants of employment offers and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Provide exceptional experience for applicants, guiding candidates through recruitment and ensuring positive and respectful interaction.
  • Conduct reference and background checks.
  • Attend and lead career fair events.
  • Track recruitment stats and prepare weekly summaries to share with leadership.
ADMINISTRATION
  • Lead new hire onboarding, offboarding and documentation distribution and collection, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed, filed, and distributed to meet document compliance practices.
  • Draft offer letters and employment agreements.
  • Track metrics such as time‑to‑fill, turnover, and sourcing channel performance.
  • Recommend improvements to hiring processes, job ads, and onboarding workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements, Employment standards and client hiring policies.
  • Provide HR administrative support as needed.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume recruitment industry such as hospitality or supply chain logistics is a significant asset.
  • Tech‑savvy and has ideally worked with applicant tracking systems and databases.
  • Knowledge of recruitment strategies and building partnerships with schools and alumni organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Passion for social media creation and execution for the purposes of recruiting.
  • Take pride in your work and pay strong attention to detail.
  • The successful candidate will undergo a police background check.

Salary

$23-25 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, flexible hours between 9AM - 5PM; occasional evenings and weekends.

WORK LOCATION

Remote, home‑office based in Calgary, AB or Abbotsford, BC. Occasional travel to client sites and career fairs.
