GENERAL SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Manager keeps Moxy Ottawa Downtown looking sharp and feeling fresh. You’ll lead the housekeeping and laundry crew, ensuring everything is guest-ready, from rooms to public spaces. Beyond the basics, you’ll drive guest satisfaction, inspire your crew and keep operations efficient—while bringing the Moxy energy to every corner of the hotel.

WHO YOU ARE

• 3+ years of housekeeping leadership experience in hotels.
• 2-year degree/diploma in Hospitality, Business, or a related field + 2 years’ experience.

Preferred Extras

• Housekeeping experience with a major hotel brand (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Accor, Hyatt)
• Knowledge of housekeeping policies and systems (FOSSE/LIGHTSPEED, Marriott GXP, Adaco, MS Office)
• Experience with in-house laundry operations
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Bilingual (English/French) an asset
• Experience in hotel opening, pre-opening environments, hotel renovation and brand conversion
• Problem‑solving mindset with strong communication skills
• Experience in a unionized environment

Guest Satisfaction & Experience

• Anticipate guest needs and take proactive steps to resolve issues
• Ensure rooms and public spaces reflect the Moxy vibe – fresh, playful and inviting
• Monitor guest satisfaction results and create action plans to improve scores
• Promote and live the Moxy and Marriott Bonvoy service principles
• Familiar with Marriott brand GSS, BSA and GXP

People Leadership

• Hire, train, and develop housekeeping crew members with a focus on growth and inclusivity
• Keep an “open door” policy and actively listen to your crew’s feedback
• Conduct performance reviews, and one‑on‑one sessions to build engagement
• Apply policies fairly, document properly, and celebrate individual and crew achievements

Operations & Performance

• Oversee housekeeping and laundry operations efficiently
• Manage labor costs, budgets, and supply inventories
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and brand standards
• Work with vendors, suppliers, and other hotel departments for smooth operations
• Stay hands‑on with inspections, audits, and compliance checks
• Follow company standards, policies and procedures
