The Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF) is a charitable organization that owns and operates five Aging Care & Senior Living communities in Calgary, AB, and Okotoks, AB. We provide a safe, caring, and comfortable home environment for our senior residents and families. Locally, BSF also operates Alberta’s largest second-stage shelter offering safe shelter and comprehensive support services to women and children leaving abuse and violence. The Role

The Brenda Strafford Foundation is looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeping Aide to join our team. The Housekeeping Aide maintains cleanliness and hygiene within the Manor and resident suites, ensuring safety, health, and high-quality housekeeping services for our residents. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and respect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning duties according to Housekeeping routines.
  • Keep records of cleaning tasks and sign off when completed.
  • Use cleaning chemicals following written protocols and safety standards.
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues in the building.
  • Promote a healthy and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations.
  • Follow Infection Prevention and Control standards and use proper body mechanics techniques.
  • Assist with other housekeeping tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Who We’re Looking For
  • Minimum education equivalent to Grade 10.
