Join a groundbreaking pod hotel in Whistler as a Housekeeper, where your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will shine. This role offers you the chance to be part of a vibrant community, ensuring that guests enjoy a pristine environment. With flexible schedules and opportunities for growth, you'll thrive in a fun and dynamic atmosphere. If you're proactive and dedicated, this is your chance to contribute to an exciting hospitality project in one of Canada's most famous mountain resorts.
Pangea, a groundbreaking new pod hotel in the heart of Whistler’s pedestrian Village, is looking for full-time, part-time and casual hours Housekeepers who can make us sparkle – both literally and metaphorically.
You’ll be at the heart of what we do, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the property. Thanks to your eye for detail, Pangea will earn and maintain an impeccable reputation, and Pangea’s guests will be inspired to leave glowing reviews about their experience staying in Canada’s first pod hotel.
As Housekeeper, you’ll be someone who takes immense pride in your work, never relenting until the job is done (and done to the highest standard). You’ll be efficient and meticulous, so that our pods are always left spotless, and you’ll be fit and motivated, with the ability to bend, lift, stand and move continuously throughout your shift. In essence, you’ll be a “ninja” of the pod world – flexible, stealthy and methodical, so that our pods look like they’ve never been used before.
Above all, you’ll share in our vision of success for the Pangea project, actively contributing ideas and making improvements that shape our future and realize our ambitions for dynamic growth.
The clue to our ethos is in our name. To work at Pangea is to be at the center of a global community of travellers – a place where people from all ends of the Earth and all walks of life gather to have a good time. Our aim is to be the metaphorical melting pot of Whistler – a place where our guests can relax and socialize over a coffee, craft beer or cocktail, swapping tips from the slopes and sharing stories of their adventures.
There’s nothing ordinary about our hotel (in fact it’s pretty exceptional), so why would our working environment be? Our employees are expected to have fun as well as work hard, to get to know our guests rather than just serve them, and to enjoy every day at the hotel. We want them to relish the challenges that come their way and take personal satisfaction from their achievements.
We actively encourage our employees to use their initiative, be creative, and challenge the status quo – if there’s something Pangea could do differently to achieve its goals more quickly or effectively, we want our employees to do or say something about it. We expect them to be proactive, determined, and willing to pitch in.
In return we offer real opportunities to progress at one of the most exciting hospitality projects in Canada (in one of the most famous mountain resorts on the planet).
Core to the role of Housekeeper is keeping our sleeping pods, bathrooms and all other public spaces absolutely spotless. You’ll also need to be efficient, adhere to proper bend/lift/OHC standards, and be happy to take on any housekeeping-related duties assigned to you around the property.
