Responsibilities for Hospital Security Supervisor
- Lead a team of security professionals to ensure a safe hospital environment
- Coordinate daily briefings and liaise with clinical leads regarding patient care and site activity
- Monitor patrols, respond to incidents, and manage emergency protocols, including Code White, fire alarms, missing persons, and medical emergencies
- Oversee documentation such as incident reports and compliance logs, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
- Conduct audits of safety systems (CCTV, panic alarms, fire extinguishers) and ensure site readiness
- Act as the primary contact for client communication and escalate concerns when necessary
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of security staff
- Promote a respectful, team-oriented workplace and employ de-escalation and violence prevention techniques
Qualifications for Hospital Security Supervisor
- Saskatchewan Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in security, healthcare, or related fields
- Minimum of 1 year security experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of leading by example and building positive relationships
- Comfortable with technology, including reporting tools and CCTV systems
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is a strong asset
- Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and remain calm under pressure
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
