Heavy Metal Equipment & Rentals Alberta. Permanent, Full-time. Location: Alberta. This position is safety-sensitive and in a demanding environment, supporting open pit mining clients for service and maintenance in the Alberta Oil Sands.
Overview
Warehouse Supervisors will direct the warehouse workforce and provide expertise to ensure tasks are completed to Heavy Metal Equipment's standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The role includes guiding and mentoring Warehouse Technicians, planning and managing workloads, and creating efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day tasks related to receiving, storing, and shipping goods
- Comply with all site safety procedures and initiatives
- Direct the workflow of warehousing activities within the team
- Mentor and develop the warehousing team
- Develop processes and procedures to create efficiencies
- Receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and supplies; reconcile, pick, unload, label, and store
- Unload trucks, check in merchandise, reconcile purchase orders with sales orders, and distribute inventory
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pick up (pick, load, pack, label, stage, ship)
- Maintain equipment by performing preventative maintenance and arranging repairs
- Facilitate inventory management; alert management to low inventory; record counts in computer systems
- Generate reports on defects, shortages, and overages
- Provide quality service by following safety standards and regulations
- Keep work areas tidy and promote a clean shipping supply area
- Complete required reports accurately and provide all information
- Contribute to team effort and related results as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership role within warehousing
- Experience with Heavy Equipment Maintenance or related industry (preferred)
- Proficiency with inventory software, RF equipment, databases, and systems
- Strong safety attitude and commitment to safe work practices
- Strong ethics, compliance, and numerical accuracy
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Current Forklift Certification
- Clean driver’s abstract and Advanced Class 5 license
- Ability to pass a respiratory fit test and wear a respirator when required
- Ability to meet fitness standards and perform physical tasks

Location and schedule
Based in the Alberta Oil Sands region (Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo). 14/14 rotation; 12.5 hour shifts; days and nights alternating. Accommodation provided in a camp setting; flights provided from hub locations (Calgary or Edmonton). Travel to the hub location is your responsibility.
