Overview

A leader in Construction is seeking self-motivated, dependable and experienced candidates for a full-time position as Heavy Equipment Operator.

Heavy Equipment Operators are needed for operating heavy earth-moving equipment in demolition, shoring and excavation, removal and placement of earth materials and grading surfaces with attention to wet and dry underground utilities. This position is responsible for contributing to a safe, high-impact nationwide construction company and supporting a long-term relationship with our team.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner
  • Read and interpret scopes of work, plans, specifications and soils reports; apply their effects on the work
  • Review drawings
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
  • Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
  • Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
  • Advise the project manager of maintenance or repair needs
  • Participate in routine maintenance
  • Practice workplace safety and fuel equipment as required
  • Record daily activity and measurements
  • Work outside in various weather conditions (extreme cold and heat)
  • Travel frequently as needed
  • Interpret information on grade stakes
Qualifications
  • Verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction and safety practices, heavy equipment operation
  • Computer experience, including emailing reports and uploading/downloading information
  • Valid driver’s license, Class A
  • Background checks and drug tests required
Compensation and Availability

Compensation: Proportional to experience

Position: Full-time

Location: Ontario, CA & Surrounding Area (Home office in Rancho Cucamonga, CA)
