Job summary

A leading Canadian company seeks a Health & Safety Specialist to oversee regulatory compliance and safety program implementation. You will coordinate permitting, maintain safety certificates, and ensure fleet compliance with health standards. The candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in an HSSE role, preferably with safety designations. This role offers an opportunity to impact safety measures in a diverse marine construction environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience in HSSE role.
• Safety designations such as CRSP, COHSES or CESS is preferred.
• Experience in Transportation & Logistics would be considered an asset.
• Experience in construction and/or marine environment would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all permitting, recordkeeping/document retention, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Maintain insurance and safety certificates, WCB, and operating licenses.
• Liaise with third parties and government agencies.
• Conduct worksite and incident investigations when required.
• Ensure fleet compliance with health and safety legislative requirements.
