A community organization in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Health Pathway Navigator to support immigrant and refugee clients with health challenges. Responsibilities include providing culturally responsive support, navigating health systems, and developing resources. Candidates must have a degree in Health Sciences, fluency in Dari & Pashto, and experience with vulnerable populations. This is a full-time temporary position with a salary range of $29.17 - $33.49 per hour.

The Health Pathway Navigator (HPN) will provide culturally responsive 1-1 in-person or remote well-being navigation to clients experiencing persistent health challenges, as well as language and cultural barriers that prevent them from achieving settlement outcomes, through health care system & resource navigation & needs-based referrals. The HPN will also focus on supporting refugee and immigrant families experiencing health issues such as autism, physical or mental disability, mental health disorders, PTSD, HIV, infectious diseases, deafness and chronic illnesses. Additionally, the HPN will develop accessible health services-related resources for dissemination among newcomers, while actively updating resources with new information and feedback from clients. The HPN will support the delivery of group-based, in-person "Healthy Settlement Journey" information & orientation (I&O) workshops for newcomers from equity groups on various health-related topics such as IFHP, MSP, how to find a family doctor, immunization, & other general health topics.
