Job Summary

Reporting to the Head Designer, the Assistant Fashion Designer will be responsible for sketches and product details for technical packages. They will also work in CLO 3D to present products, build outfits, and add colours/prints to the assortment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create precise technical drawings;
  • Enter all fabric and specs information;
  • Build detailed technical packs using the designer's initial flat sketch and trim sheet;
  • Create detailed technical illustrations and specs;
  • Execute 3D prototypes to accurately represent product details, including colour, texture, outfitting, etc.;
  • Develop presentation skills and close working relationships with the Merchandising and Sourcing teams;
  • Attend live model fittings.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma, DEC or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design;
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in technical sketches;
  • Strong retail background and trend awareness;
  • Knowledge of garment construction and fittings;
  • Solid computer skills (Illustrator, Photoshop);
  • Knowledge of 3D software (CLO or equivalent) is an asset;
  • Excellent product knowledge;
  • French or English is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec.
