Job summary

Farm Boy Inc. in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a store supervisor who will work alongside the Department Manager to deliver exceptional service and efficient store operations.

You will coach, train, and engage the team to meet performance goals while maintaining inventory accuracy and a clean, safe shopping environment. The role requires 1 year of supervisory experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary program with emphasis in business; minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities with high performance.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with professional communication.
• Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems with various software.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift, and work in cooler/freezer/outdoor conditions.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service that reflects Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
• Work closely with the Department Manager to execute departmental strategies and achieve stated goals and performance objectives.
• Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition while maintaining a high level of trust, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, exchange product knowledge, and provide meaningful feedback to build engagement and connection.
• Support daily operations by ensuring outstanding customer service, accurate merchandising and rotation, adequate staffing coverage, and consistent department cleanliness.
• Provide office and administrative support, including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, schedule maintenance, and payroll functions.
• Promote compliance with all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations to maintain a safe and high-quality shopping environment.
• Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required.
