Job summary

Farm Boy is seeking a capable supervisor/department manager to join our team in Ontario. You will work with the Department Manager to deliver outstanding service and drive operational excellence across the department.

You will coach staff, manage daily operations, and ensure high standards in merchandising, inventory, and safety. The ideal candidate has post-secondary education in business and at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• We expect a post-secondary program in business and at least 1 year of supervisory/management experience in a similar role.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities with strong performance.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with clear communication.
• Comfort with manual and automated systems and various computer software programs.
• Ability to work standing for long periods in cooler, freezer, or outdoor conditions; evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident customer service reflecting Farm Boy standards.
• Collaborate with the Department Manager on departmental strategies and goals.
• Coach, train, motivate, and recognize team members to build engagement.
• Lead regular team huddles to share goals and provide feedback.
• Oversee daily operations: merchandising, staffing, cleanliness, and service quality.
• Provide administrative support including inventory, ordering, invoicing, scheduling, and payroll.
