Job summary

A leading educational institution in Vancouver is seeking a Greystone College IBM Instructor for daytime and evening programs. The instructor will deliver engaging and interactive classes to international students, evaluate their progress, and prepare teaching materials. Qualifications include a Provincial Instructor Diploma or equivalent and relevant industry experience. Competitive hourly salary ranging from $42 to $50. This position is gig-based with a preference for candidates experienced in teaching and learning management systems.

Overview

Role: Greystone College IBM Instructor Daytime and Evening Programs

Reports to: Director Greystone CollegePrograms

Location: Vancouver BC

Schedule

Daytime Schedule: Mondays-Thursdays from 8 : 30am PST to 1 : 00pm PST and Fridays from 8 : 30am PST to 11 : 30am PST possibly leading to permanent positions.

Evening Schedule: Mondays-Thursdays from 5 : 15pm PST to 9 : 00pm PST possibly leading to permanent positions.

Responsibilities

Job Duties :

  • Deliver instruction that follows established program curriculum
  • Prepare subject materials for presentation to studentsin an interactive and student-centeredenvironment on-line (Zoom or Teams) in person in the classroom and / or hybrid
  • Apply business learning strategies and techniques to classes of 10-26 international students with an intermediate level of English
  • Teach and guide students in real world business class projects
  • Provide individual feedback and direction to students throughout the program
  • Evaluate and document student progress
  • Keep abreast of current industry practices
  • Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
  • Provincial Instructor Diploma or equivalent or minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • One of the following is required :
  • Diploma or degree in in Business or Project Management and minimum 2 years industry experience
  • 10 years industry-related experience in the areas of business communications project management soft skills coaching and customer relations

Preference will be given to candidates with the following :

  • Experience in Learning Management System (Moodle) an asset
  • Experience in TESOL international students a strong asset
