Job Description:

Overview of business divisions:

  • Corporate Cash Management (CCM) is a core business line within Global Transaction Banking, delivering treasury management solutions and advisory to Canadian and U.S. headquartered companies, as well as the subsidiaries of global multinationals. CCM helps clients optimize liquidity, manage working capital, and drive efficiency in a corporate\'s treasury operations. Interns will support client onboarding, cash flow analysis, presentation & pitch/deck preparation (internal & client-facing), prospective client/market research, and provide strategic input on liquidity and payment solutions.
  • Financial Institutions (FI) provides Canadian payment clearing and settlement services to a global network. Interns may manage product profitability, client servicing, risk/compliance, and support a broader client relationship management mandate to connect TD with countries around the world. Collaboration with other lines of business (DCM, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, TBSM) is emphasized.
  • Trade and Working Capital delivers client-focused solutions to mitigate payment risk, facilitate working capital, and enhance liquidity using trade finance products. Interns support daily operations, client presentations, market research, transaction documentation, and collaboration to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Export Agency Finance (EAF) supports arranging and underwriting medium- to long-term financing with ECAs, SSAs, and sovereigns to support large capex needs and project financing.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Complete complex financial transactions in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Work with the GTB team to maximize business opportunities and provide financial solutions to corporate and institutional clients.
  • Assist the GTB team in achieving objectives by foreseeing client needs and delivering execution excellence.
  • Participate in the GTB Summer Analyst group project, culminating with a presentation to the Head of GTB and GTB Business Heads.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and strong business, finance, mathematics and quantitative analysis skills, or relevant experience.
  • Industry experience and courses are highly desirable.
