We are a seasonal property seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a seasonal Gift Shop Sales Associate at our lodge in the Canadian Rockies. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist customers with purchases, and maintain the appearance of the gift shop. This is a seasonal position in Jasper, AB, with start May 7, 2025 and end October 14, 2025. For international applicants, there are no LMIA spots available.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in the gift shop.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through sales service.
• Provide information about products and services.
• Process sales transactions and handle cash and credit card payments including returns.
• Stock and display merchandise under direction of manager.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
• Cross-sell and promote hotel and restaurant products and services.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience in retail sales is an asset.
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25lbs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Wage: $17/hour plus commissions (2% - 5%).
• Staff accommodation is available for employees over 18 at $4.41 per day.
• Bonus: If contract is completed you will receive a bonus that will cover the cost of your rent.
• Referral Bonus: $500 if both yours and your referrals contract are completed.
