A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking a Mining Lead for its Geotechnical Services group in Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the mining team, leading project solutions, and ensuring exceptional delivery to clients. Key qualifications include extensive experience in geotechnical services, strong communication skills, and an understanding of Ontario's mining sector. This role involves a hybrid work model from various Stantec offices, requiring occasional travel for client meetings and fieldwork.
An exciting opportunity exists for a successful candidate to become aMining Leadfor Stantec’s Geotechnical Services Group in Ontario. Reporting to our Practice Leader, you will be responsible for leading the pursuit and delivery of excellent work to our mining clients. Accountable for the top line, you will lead the growth of the mining team within our Geotechnical Services group in Ontario while providing innovative project solutions with exceptional quality and execution that exceed client expectations.
You will work closely with other leaders in Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada to deliver professional services to clients, while championing safety, quality, innovation, and risk management processes.
The role will be hybrid, but primarily work will be from any Stantec office in Ontario. Travel, on occasion, will be required to other Stantec office locations, the field and/or meetings with clients.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field (master’s degree is an asset)
Minimum of 15 years of geotechnical services work in the mining sector, leadership, technical, financial management, business development and consulting experience
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Transparency:In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
