Make your mark while you grow your career! As a member of the Exploration Group and reporting to the Exploration Manager, you will store, retrieve, manipulate and display data using software programs to create maps, reports, figures and presentations. You will assist geoscientists in producing technical deliverables to plan and conduct seismic and geological mapping, drilling and completion programs and reservoir characterization. You will also help with the evaluation of oil and gas reservoir performance.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Analyze and ensure quality control of information about wells, rock formations, core, topography and other geological data needed for a project
  • Use a wide variety of computer software to create detailed maps and reports
  • Prepare, transcribe or analyze various data
  • Gather, transfer and load information, ensuring data is accurate
What You Bring to the Role:
  • Successful completion of a degree or a Technology Diploma
  • Experience with computer systems/software used in petroleum exploration
  • Well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solver, especially when it comes to working with different software and data formats
  • Organized, detail-oriented and comfortable with following procedures and routine
  • Thriving is a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines
  • Experience with Geographix, Petra, Starsteer, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, Petrel, Studio, Power BI and Tableau for data displays is an asset
  • Experience with loading well logs and directional survey data, Importing and exporting multiple file formats and monitoring operations is a nice to have
  • Professional Designation is considered an asset
