A regional health authority in Canada is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care under the direction of the Head Nurse and/or physician. The role involves helping patients of all ages with varying needs, from minimal assistance to total personal care. The ideal candidate must possess registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and have skills in acute care and community nursing. A valid driver's license is required.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
To provide nursing care under the direction of the Head Nurse and/or physician to selected patients of all ages whose needs will vary from minimal assistance to total personal care. Skills acquired through recognized training programs will be utilized to help the patient return to optimum health.
Education, Training And Experience
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practising RN registrant. Must possess the skill and demonstrated ability to perform the required duties and maintain acceptable standards of practice.
