Responsibilities

To provide nursing care under the direction of the Head Nurse and/or physician to selected patients of all ages whose needs will vary from minimal assistance to total personal care. Skills acquired through recognized training programs will be utilized to help the patient return to optimum health.

Qualifications

Education, Training And Experience

Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practising RN registrant. Must possess the skill and demonstrated ability to perform the required duties and maintain acceptable standards of practice.

  • Knowledge of and skill in acute care nursing and community nursing.
  • Ability to adapt clinical and professional skills to the home and community settings.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Considerable judgement in professional nursing care.
