Overview

Description

The Leasing Consultant will be responsible for providing a positive community experience to residents and effectively market and lease apartments to prospects, while building and developing a professional foundation to launch their career.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and hosting of resident events.
  • Maintain social media presence at the property level by promoting events and maintaining engagement with current residents.
  • Assist residents with the move-in and move-out processes.
  • Maintain a positive presence within the community, establishing relationships with key community groups, educational establishments, businesses, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the performance of the turn process.
  • Adhere to Peak Campus Canada, Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Greet prospective residents and show model, market ready units and common areas.
  • Prepare and follow through with the monthly Accounts Receivable and N4 process.
  • Contribute to the general upkeep and cleaning of office, common areas and model if applicable.
  • Assist prospective residents with completion of online application.
  • Respond to internet leads, answer prospect calls and conduct property tours following the guidelines outlined in the training materials.
  • Contribute to optimizing occupancy while maximizing leased rent.
  • Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios, and work to achieve and exceed budgeted occupancy percentages.
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property and competition.
  • Perform various administrative tasks.
  • Assist with market surveys, as needed.
  • Collect deposit and/or fees associated with move-in.
  • Accurately prepare and have a thorough knowledge of all lease-related paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate prospect traffic and leasing data, and assist with other computer data entry as necessary.
  • Inspect units on a quarterly basis as well as prior to move-in.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Property Manager

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with a desire to help prospective residents find their next home.
  • High energy with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate and embody Peak’s Mindsets.

Requirements: A Police Criminal Record Check will be required as part of the pre-employment process.

Working Environment

Physical Effort: Long periods of sitting. Lifting up to 14 kg.

Physical Environment: Office

Sensory Attention: Extended periods of exposure to light from computer screen.

Mental Stress: Time sensitive responsibilities, requiring prioritization and time management. Interaction with internal and external stakeholders responding to issues and solving problems.
