Job summary

A construction company in Metro Vancouver is looking for a skilled individual to join their team. The successful candidate will prepare estimates, read blueprints, and perform various construction tasks including building and installing structures. Candidates should have at least a secondary school graduation certificate and ability to work in a physically demanding environment. This is a full-time position at $37.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours a week with no remote work options.

Qualifications

• 1 to less than 7 months of experience preferred.
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, and hardware.
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on site.
• Maintain, repair and renovate wooden structures.
