A health services organization in Three Hills seeks a Food Service Worker to join the Nutrition Food Service team. The ideal candidate will perform food preparation tasks, ensuring quality meal service to patients and residents. Responsibilities include packaging food, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in serving areas. This is a regular part-time position with a pay range of $18.36 to $20.02 per hour. Experience in food service and customer service will be advantageous. The role requires physical capability for lifting and standing for shifts.

As a Food Service Worker, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient and resident focused health care as a dedicated member of the Nutrition Food Service (NFS) team. NFS is a provincial service that is committed to providing nutritious, healthy, high quality meal service to patients, residents, staff, visitors and the community. This position will be accountable for performing a variety of tasks to ensure a quality patient, resident and customer experience.
As a Food Service I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks associated with basic food preparation in accordance with AHS standards and procedures. Your typical duties may include packaging and portioning food items, preparing food according to set guidelines and menus, serving meals to patients and customers and cleaning and sanitizing equipment, dishes, tables and serving areas.
Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Physically capable to lift food, supplies and equipment up to 46lbs and must be able to push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs. This position requires you to walk and stand on your feet for the duration of your shift.
As required.
Customer service experience. Food service experience. Experience in a hospital or long term care environment. Experience with inventory management; receiving deliveries, managing expiry dates and minimizing waste while utilizing “First in‑First Out” procedures. Experience with Industrial Food Service Equipment. Food Safe Certificate or equivalent. WHMIS training.
