Job summary

A First Nation community is seeking a Principal to lead educational programs for HeadStart and K–12. The successful candidate will oversee curriculum development, ensure cultural relevance, and evaluate teacher performance. Applicants must possess a BC teaching certificate, a bachelor’s degree in education, and relevant experience in community engagement. This full-time position includes a salary range of $80,000–$85,000 and requires residency in the community.

Qualifications

• BC teaching certificate required.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in education.
• Proven track record in program development.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee curriculum development in K–12 and adult education.
• Ensure culturally grounded activities that reflect Yekooche values.
• Conduct teacher evaluations and provide coaching.
• Monitor student progress and implement intervention strategies.
