The Right Fit

As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate with a mid-sized accounting team. You will be hands-on with reconciliations, month-end close, reporting schedules, and special projects while also mentoring junior team members. The right person thrives in a structured environment, enjoys technical accounting, and takes ownership of delivering timely, accurate reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Preparing and reviewing account reconciliations for accuracy and compliance
  • Supporting month-end and quarter-end closes, including variance analysis and discrepancy resolution
  • Drafting reporting schedules, disclosure notes, and financial documentation
  • Upgrading and streamlining system functionality
  • Identify and improve processes
  • Responding to auditor requests and providing supporting information
  • Monitoring internal controls and contributing to compliance initiatives
  • Mentoring junior team members and assisting with technical accounting questions
  • Participating in process improvement and efficiency projects
What You Bring to the Table
  • CPA designation
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or reporting experience
  • Experience guiding or overseeing junior staff
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and internal control frameworks
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including managing large datasets
  • Expert proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
