A leading shipbuilding company based in Halifax seeks a Project Manager to deliver high-quality cost estimating products. This role involves applying project management best practices and utilizing various analytical tools. The Project Manager is a key driver in delivering high‑quality Cost Estimating products across Irving Shipbuilding programs and industry partners. In this role, you’ll bring together cost‑estimating standards, norms, analytics, reporting, engineering, contracts, legal, planning, scheduling, and program‑management expertise to support successful outcomes across complex projects.
Working closely with the Manager, Cost Management, you will lead strategic initiatives that enhance the organization’s estimating capabilities. You’ll take ownership of developing, improving, and maintaining Estimating tools and databases, with a focus on increasing automation to boost consistency, accuracy, and productivity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical problem‑solving, data‑driven decision‑making, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
