Job Description Our client, a leading machinery company, is currently seeking an accomplished Field Service Technician to join the team. Here is an overview of the role: 1) Install and start-up equipment, preventive maintenance, diagnostic inspections, and repair of compressed air equipment to ensure equipment is meeting operating and quality standards 2) Create a friendly and inviting working environment 3) Communicate with customers and coworkers, both verbal and written 4) Maintain rapport with customers by addressing complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques and recommending system improvements 5) Recommend required parts and services to customers and assist with follow-up through to successfully acquiring customer approval 6) Work with an Internal Team to obtain required parts and materials 7) Adhere to safety standards and procedures with continuously changing working environments 8) Travel to customer sites occasionally located in surrounding areas Comprehension of electrical wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment 10) Document service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job, maintenance checklists and daily time sheets 11) Promote all company products, services and solutions, such as equipment, system accessories, planned maintenance, diagnostics, audits and leak detection 12) Communicate value and increase customer’s awareness of how these items can benefit their operations Critical Requirements 1) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please) 2) Recent experience in the machinery industry is strongly preferred 3) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance This role is a great opportunity for the right person looking to advance their career with a wonderful company.
