Job description

Veritas Prep Charter School is seeking two strong educators to facilitate and deliver a 4-day academic and enrichment experience designed to reengage students and support progress toward graduation. We are hiring one teacher for each of the following roles. Please note, we may add more teachers pending student enrollment in February break academy.

Credit Recovery Lab Teacher
  • Support students in completing an online or blended credit recovery program for courses they have not yet passed.
  • Monitor student progress, provide targeted academic support, and troubleshoot barriers to completion
  • Track and report student outcomes to school leaders and general education teachers
  • Monitor student assessment work for academic integrity.
Attendance Recovery Enrichment Teacher
  • Design and facilitate engaging enrichment experiences for students recovering attendance days.
  • Lead activities that promote reengagement in school through experiential learning (e.g., museum visits, hiking, community-based learning, and other enrichment opportunities).
  • Use enrichment as a lever to rebuild routines, relationships, and positive school habits

Shared responsibilities of both roles include:

  • Teach and support students daily.
  • Track daily student attendance and work toward 90% or higher attendance for your cohort
  • Communicate with families daily when students are absent
  • Monitor student participation and progress throughout the week
  • Lead students through key operational parts of the day, including arrival, breakfast, lunch, and dismissal
  • Collaborate with school leaders and staff to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment
Important Information
  • February Break Academy will run from Tuesday, February 17th to Friday, February 20th, 2026.
  • February break will run from 9am to 3pm daily.
  • Teachers will receive a stipend of $1,500 for completion of all four days.
