Position: Family Lawyer / Civil Litigation (5+ YOC, no book required)

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage family law and civil litigation files.
  • Handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
  • Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.
  • Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients.
  • Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications.
  • Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials.
  • Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end.
  • Experience in general civil litigation is an asset.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of current experience in British Columbia family law and/or civil litigation practice.
  • Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
  • Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to become part of the community served.
Compensation

Salary based on the year of call and experience.
