Job Summary:

As a key member of the Plant Management Team, the Fabrication Manager is responsible for setting departmental objectives and long-term goals. This role ensures compliance with organizational policies and collaborates with other departments to achieve company-wide objectives. The Fabrication Manager leads Supervisors and team members to produce high-quality products safely and cost-effectively, focusing on problem-solving to eliminate waste and drive continuous improvement.

Required Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of fabrication-related work experience.
  • Effective communication skills with employees, peers, and senior leadership.
  • Conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience in Metal and/or fabrication preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, and P+L performance of fabrication operations, managing a crew of 25-35 across multiple work cells.
  • Manufacture aluminum extrusions through cutting, punching, bending, and CNC machining.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO-9000 / TS 16949 automotive quality standards.
  • Manage outsourcing strategies outside internal capabilities.
  • Participate in quoting new business with competitive, cost-effective pricing.
  • Effective people management focusing on engagement and retention.
  • Experience with Labor Union relationships is preferred.
  • Deliver safety results meeting or exceeding heavy industrial benchmarks.
