Role Responsibilities

  • The PET Extrusion Line Operator is responsible for running the line at standard rates and within specifications. Able to coordinate, delegate tasks, and make quality decisions based on equipment conditions, manpower availability, and team skills.
  • Read and understand production scheduling requirements (gauge, formulation, sizes, packing customer specifications, etc.).
  • Ensure resource availability and engage team members in performing their tasks.

Health and Safety:

  • Wear personal protective equipment as required by Occupational Health & Safety Act and company policy.
  • Use protective devices or clothing mandated by the employer and follow safety procedures to operate PET extrusion lines.
  • Be certified or licensed to operate lifting, moving, and transporting equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment, identify hazards, and report them.
  • Follow all lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Check and operate safety devices on the line (safety light curtains, mats, emergency stops, etc.).

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, specifically on an extrusion line.
  • Ability to lift and move products or parts as needed.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good team player with strong communication skills in English.
