Overview

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

Reports to the Lead Technologist and is responsible for General Radiography procedures in the Medical Imaging Department, portable and operating rooms. This position, working without general supervision maintains responsibility for the provision of general radiography procedures and results for the assigned permanent night, evening, or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

Education, Training And Experience

Graduation from a recognized Medical Radiation Technology program. Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist. Eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Previous experience in all types of general radiology.
