A regional educational institution in Prince George seeks a 1.0 FTE Gr. 8-10 Woodworking and Power Tech Limited Duration Contract Teacher. Ideal candidates will have experience with assessment practices and a commitment to inclusive education, integrating Indigenous culture into the curriculum. Position Description
An Ecole Duchess Park Secondary School - 1.0 FTE - Gr. 8-10 Woodworking and Power Tech - Limited Duration Contract Teacher is required by School District No. 57 (Prince George). Applicants with assessment and trauma-informed practice experience are preferred. School District No.57 resides on the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nations, McLeod Lake Indian Band and the Simpcw First Nations. Geographically we expand from Mackenzie, through Prince George, to McBride and Valemount. We serve 41 schools: 32 Elementary schools, 8 Secondary schools and 1 District Learning Support center for alternative and alternate learning opportunities. We provide educational programs for approximately 15,000 students including early learning, after school art and sports programming, trades programs, and dual credit programs with our local post-secondary schools. We support Lheidli T’enneh, McLeod Lake, and Takla students living on reserve through our Local Education Agreements, co-constructing the educational services provided to students attending schools in our district.
