Job description

Do you dream of diving into the world of numerical simulation and pushing the boundaries of fluid dynamics? Do you want to model complex phenomena, analyze blast effects and shock wave propagation, all while working with cutting‑edge tools like StarCCM+, LS‑Dyna, and Viper::Blast? Do you enjoy simplifying technical concepts and advising clients on diverse projects, including those in the defense sector? If you’re passionate about innovation, flow optimization, and collaborating with a dynamic team, this role is for you. Are you ready to take on exciting challenges and join an environment where your expertise truly makes a difference?

Your projects will lead you to:
  • Act as a consulting engineer in fluid simulation for external clients;
  • Perform numerical modeling (meshing, CFD analyses) using tools such as StarCCM+, Viper::Blast, LS‑Dyna, and Fluent;
  • Prepare 3D geometries for numerical analysis using 3D modeling software such as NX, CatiaV5, SolidWorks, and Spaceclaim;
  • Carry out manual calculations: aerodynamic loads, boundary conditions, material strength, heat transfer, pressure losses, source terms, component sizing, etc.;
  • Write scripts for analytical calculations and automated pre‑processing or post‑processing operations for simulations;
  • Draft analysis reports, simplify results, and advise clients on potential modifications;
  • Participate in product development by optimizing fluid flow functions, thermal management, aerodynamics, and hydrodynamics;
  • Work closely with finite element and fluid dynamics engineers to validate calculation assumptions and recommendations made to clients;
  • Collaborate with technicians, designers, and engineers on design projects.
You’re the ideal candidate if you:
  • Hold a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD);
  • Master StarCCM+ and/or LS‑Dyna software;
  • Have experience in explosion simulation and shock wave propagation;
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of fluid flow, aerodynamics, and heat transfer;
  • Are proficient with at least one 3D design software;
  • Bring experience in structural analysis using FEA (an asset);
  • Know a programming language (Matlab, Python, Visual Basic, etc.) (an asset);
  • Analyze, synthesize, and solve complex problems with rigor;
  • Communicate and simplify technical concepts effectively to different audiences;
  • Show creativity, innovation, and dynamism;
  • Organize your work methodically and with precision;
  • Collaborate as a team player and contribute to a positive environment;
  • Are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, as a large part of communication is in English with our subsidiaries and international clients. You will frequently participate in meetings with English‑speaking partners.
In return, we offer you:
  • The chance to work in a stimulating environment within a passionate and human team;
  • A safe, quiet, modern, and clean workplace;
  • Opportunities to develop your skills and expertise;
  • Flexible daytime schedules;
  • A wide range of social activities, and much more.

Creaform offers you the opportunity to build a career within a dynamic team and grow through exciting and diverse projects. A unique work environment driven by a strong team spirit, with varied tasks and projects. Joining our team also means enjoying numerous social activities, advancement opportunities, and so much more!
