Overview

Telix - Director Employee Relations & Legal Advisory is a senior workplace relations lead and legal advisor responsible for providing expert pragmatic guidance and legal counsel on complex and sensitive employment and labor matters across Telix's global footprint. This role leads internal investigations (including whistleblower matters), manages employment-related disputes and litigation, provides legal input into employment documentation and remuneration arrangements, and oversees key workplace relations policies and frameworks. Working closely with senior People & Culture, Legal, and business leaders, the role requires sound legal judgment, business pragmatism, and the ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.

Key Accountabilities
  • Employment & Labor Law Advisory
    • Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of employment matters across jurisdictions including recruitment, performance, terminations, restructures, remuneration, benefits, restricted covenants, accommodations, employee relations, and industrial matters.
    • Design and provide training on employment law related topics to various stakeholders in the business.
    • Support business development activities as needed by advising on labor and employment issues in corporate transactions and integrations (e.g. acquisitions; dispositions).
    • Monitor and interpret employment law developments globally identifying and advising on relevant risks and opportunities.
  • Investigations & Whistleblower Matters
    • Lead or oversee workplace investigations into allegations of misconduct including bullying, harassment, discrimination, code of conduct and other corporate policy investigation requirements including privacy, bribery, anti-trust and whistleblower complaints, working with other internal and external experts as required.
    • Ensure investigations are legally robust, procedurally fair, and conducted with integrity and confidentiality.
    • Maintain investigation records and reporting processes ensuring confidentiality, defensibility, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Employment Litigation & Dispute Management
    • Manage employment-related claims, litigation, arbitration, and regulatory engagement across jurisdictions.
    • Lead or support the response to claims including unfair dismissal, discrimination, or breach of contract matters.
    • Liaise with external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate representation and risk mitigation.
    • Work with insurance carriers / brokers when required; support risk-mitigation assessments based on dispute management experience.
  • Employment Documentation, Remuneration & Equity Advice
    • Review and advise on terms and clauses for employment contracts and other agreements including bespoke arrangements.
    • Provide legal input into remuneration structures, incentive plans, equity arrangements, NED remuneration, and employee documentation to ensure compliance with employment and securities laws.
  • Governance of Policies, Frameworks & Risk
    • Maintain and evolve global workplace policies and governance frameworks ensuring alignment with legal requirements and company values.
    • Support the development and delivery of training and capability-building initiatives on employment law, workplace behavior and compliance.
    • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance and P&C to align governance frameworks and risk controls.
Education and Experience
  • Law Degree or JD equivalent entitled to provide legal advice and practice in-house in relevant country.
  • 7 years of progressive employment law experience in private practice or in a corporate law environment.
  • Experience managing labor and employment litigation and pre-litigation matters.
  • Strong internal investigation experience including conducting privileged investigations and drafting defensible reports.
  • Proven ability to successfully counsel business leaders including People & Culture professionals and senior executives.
  • Experience in managing external counsel and investigator partners for cost-effective and pragmatic outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of global employment laws in US, Canada, UK, EU (particularly Belgium, Switzerland and France), Australia and Japan.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and business-oriented judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across jurisdictions in a fast-paced international workplace environment.
