Job Profile Summary
We are looking for a skilled and hands‑on technician to support client operations in Canada and the USA. This role focuses on diagnostics, repairs, and technical support for client vehicles, ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical expertise, experience with digital tools, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. A valid bus driver’s license is mandatory to perform vehicle‑related tasks and support operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Diagnostics & Repairs
- Perform in‑depth diagnostics and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and software‑related issues on vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDI), pilot tests, or reported by customers.
- Document root causes and corrective actions for recurring or critical issues.
2. Technical Support
- Act as the first line of technical support for customer‑reported issues.
- Collaborate with client technical teams to elevate and resolve complex problems.
- Support the coordination of suppliers when needed.
3. Spare Parts & Logistics Support
- Identify required spare parts for repairs.
- Assist in parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components.
- Support the return and shipment of defective parts, ensuring proper documentation.
4. Digital Tools & Documentation
- Use platforms like eSNote and eSClaim to document repairs, track issues, and support cost settlement processes.
- Maintain accurate service records, including photos, diagnostics logs, and repair reports.
- Provide feedback on digital tool usability and suggest improvements.
- Support the introduction and implementation of IT tools (e.g., Business Central) for managing spare parts ordering, with a focus on improving efficiency and traceability.
5. Customer Interaction
- Support customer visits or remote diagnostics sessions by explaining technical issues and solutions.
- Provide on‑site technical assistance during critical repairs or escalations.
6. Continuous Improvement & Feedback
- Share insights on recurring issues to support root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Participate in internal technical reviews and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
- Suggest improvements to repair procedures, tools, and documentation practices.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle diagnostics and repair, preferably in the bus or commercial vehicle sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems in modern vehicles.
- Experience with digital platforms for service documentation and diagnostics.
- Valid bus driver’s license is mandatory.
- Fluent in English; Polish is a plus.
