A Canadian university in Sherbrooke is inviting applications for teaching two advanced personality courses during Winter 2026. Instructors will teach in-person classes focused on core personality theories and statistical methodologies. Successful candidates must submit a detailed application by December 23, including a cover letter and CV, and remuneration is set at $9893.64. In accordance with article 6.2.2 (Notification of Courses) of the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, applications are invited for the following course, to be offered during the following session:
Winter 2026
IN PERSON, Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:30 AM – 12:50 PM, from January 8 to April 30, 2026
IN PERSON, Mondays 8:30 AM – 11:20 AM, from January 8 to April 30, 2026
This is an advanced course focused on deepening knowledge of core aspects of personality theories. Topics will focus on the clinical aspects and the social implications stemming from personality theories. In addition, the role of statistical methodology (e.g., factor analysis) will be explored in terms of how personality dimensions are established.
The courses will be allotted in accordance with the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, including the applicable rules for seniority. The courses may be converted to online delivery if necessary.
Contract faculty members who have seniority points may simply submit a letter of interest via e‑mail. Other candidates should submit full applications by e‑mail (covering letter, curriculum vitae, and any other materials required to demonstrate that they have the necessary expertise to teach the course) to psychair@ubishops.ca, by December 23 at 5:00 PM.
Remuneration is $9893.64, with travel and marking expenses provided where appropriate.
