Position Summary

The DC Order Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating order processing activities within the distribution center. This role ensures accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders by collaborating with internal teams, monitoring inventory levels, and resolving order-related issues. The specialist plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities
  • Review Open Order Reports and systems to track orders by due date, line fill, special requirements, and backorders.
  • Allocate relevant stock to open sales orders in SAP.
  • Analyze Corporate Miss Reports and collaborate with the team to conduct root cause investigations and provide detailed reports.
  • Manage inventory control activities, including adjustments, inventory maintenance, part number setup, and reporting (e.g., PNC, CYC, MSC, lot corrections/updates, cycle counts, and end-of-month reports).
  • Serve as the primary sales contact for all expedite requests and coordinate with Leads and cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.
Qualifications
  • College diploma or technical certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Inventory, Warehouse Management or Operations or Production Management
  • APICS certification (formerly known as APEX) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehousing or distribution operations.
  • Recognized as the SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both the RDC and Plant.
  • Collaborates closely with Picking and Cutting teams to ensure accurate and timely order execution.
