Overview

What is the Opportunity?

As a Data Analyst you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization. You will collaborate with business units to understand challenges, design metrics, and deliver high-impact visualizations and reports. This role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to data governance, user training, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business units to identify problems, define metrics, and design data-driven solutions.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Business Objects, and Power Platform.
  • Translate business requirements into technical documentation for IS teams.
  • Create data visualizations tailored to executive and operational audiences.
  • Conduct bespoke analysis using tools like RStudio or Jupyter.
  • Lead and support predictive analytics and statistical modeling initiatives.
  • Implement and uphold data governance, security protocols, and sharing procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate data systems to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • Conduct user training and support adoption of analytics tools.
  • Perform regular audits of user permissions and drive utilization strategies.
  • Assist in developing data management strategies and improving system performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in data management or analysis.
  • An analytical mindset and ability to decipher and organize large amounts of data.
  • Awareness of and commitment to driving adherence to SDLC best practices
  • Understands relational and unstructured data sources and various methods of querying and extracting data from each
  • Understands data modelling, physical data structures, and logical data structures
  • Experience training end-users
  • Strong Power Query, SQL, and passing knowledge of ETL and data-wrangling processes
  • Well versed in data visualization techniques in a range of tools, including Power BI, Excel, and R or Python packages
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to translate complex problems clearly and in nontechnical terms
  • Experience in Business Objects / SAC operational processes and systems
  • Strong ability to lead and drive results
