Position

This is a mentorship role, aimed at analysts who want to continue their SOC career and get exposure to more tasks. This is a Level 1.5 role sitting between an analyst and a senior analyst role.

What I Do Is

• All SOC Analyst tasks
• Main point of contact during their shift. Act as a first escalation point & shift lead for analysts outside of business hours
• Advanced ticket queue work - hunting for tuning opportunities, working blocks of tickets.
• Supporting Senior Analysts in working with SDM, such as closure checks, further investigation, and customer queries.
• Aiding Senior Analysts with XDR tasks - analyzing alert trends, compiling reports, hunting for tuning opportunities.
• Engineering skill uplift - basic automations to assist with queues.
• Customer calls - shadowing for experience.
• Ad hoc assignments - ticket reworks, checks, and additional tasks from various business units.
