A waste management company in Vancouver seeks a Customer Service Representative to support residential recycling collection. The role involves responding to customer inquiries, coordinating logistics, and reporting on service quality metrics. We work with our clients and customers to manage & reduce their waste through best practices program design, innovation, information, education, engagement, including service delivery excellence. This position will support the implementation of key operational and customer service components for a significant residential curbside collection contract.
Recycling Alternative (RA) will begin servicing the Multi-Unit Residential Building recycling collection in Downtown Vancouver and False Creek in early 2026. This position is the main customer service representative for the residential collection services. Most customer inquiries will come from property managers and designated on-site contacts, with some calls from residents and the general public about the service. This position will sit at the nexus of customer service and logistics, ensuring the operations respond to the service needs of the customers. This position will begin prior to the start of the contract to support the logistics team in finalizing site access details, coordinating jitney (pullout) services, and establishing customer service procedures. With the start of the contract, this position will respond to customer inquiries and support the dispatch and logistics teams with rerouting when necessary. As a key liaison between the customer and our operations team, you will be responsible for reporting on key metrics that will inform how we are doing as a team to service this contract. This role will also be cross trained to support the commercial collection operations of Recycling Alternative to provide back up support when needed.
