About the Opportunity

The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a casual Customer Service Clerk, based in Lake Country, BC.

Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Administration, you will be responsible for clerical assistance, including records management as well as knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient customer service for internal and external customers.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive complaints and requests and forward to the appropriate department or agency for response
  • Proficiency in receiving and processing payments including postdate cheque batching and EFTs
  • Ability to book municipal facilities and program spaces and sell theatre tickets, bus passes, dog tags, etc.
Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of one year toward a college diploma in office administration, business administration, public administration, or a related field. Additionally, one year experience in a municipal setting is required.

As our ideal candidate, you have the skills and ability to tactfully deal with internal and public inquiries with courtesy when explaining or exchanging information. You also have sound organization and time management skills.
