The primary objective of the Client Support Worker / Community Engagement Worker is to provide compassionate support for individuals navigating substance misuse while also ensuring the security and safety of clinic premises. This versatile role involves assisting individuals in prevention, harm reduction, and treatment while also engaging with community members on clinic property to determine their needs. This unique position involves a balance of time spent both outside the clinic, engaging with the community, and inside the clinic, welcoming clients seeking access to clinic services.
