A regional health services provider in Lunenburg seeks a part-time Journeyman Cook. The role involves food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high food safety standards. Candidates should have a Journeyman Cook certificate, Food Safety Level 1, and preferably two years of cooking experience. The position offers competitive hourly pay of $25.25 - $28.22 and eligibility for a benefits package.

We are committed to excellence in health, healing, and learning through collaboration. This posting is for a temporary, part-time Journeyman Cook position within the NFS Patient Food FMH department.
Under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor/Manager Nutrition and Food Services, the Journeyman Cook is responsible for the preparation, production, cooking, and presentation of food as required for the patient/client menu. This includes production for all areas (Patient Food Service, Retail, etc.) and short ordering cooking as needed. The Journeyman Cook follows quantity recipes to ensure menu choices produced meet quality standards and maintains high standards of food safety and sanitation by consistently complying with procedures, guidelines, and systems.
