Eagle Craft Special Projects, a division of EagleCraft Boats and part of the Bryton Marine Group, is seeking a hands‑on Controller to establish and manage all accounting functions for a three‑year marine construction program in Campbell River, BC. This is a high‑impact, career‑defining opportunity to help launch a new business unit within a respected marine industry leader. Supported by the resources and expertise of the Bryton Marine Group, you will implement accounting systems from the ground up, manage project finances, and provide critical insights to leadership. You’ll oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and compliance, ensuring financial integrity throughout the life of the project—all while contributing to a high‑performance, collaborative culture. As a key member of the startup leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in building the foundation for operational excellence and financial transparency as Eagle Craft Special Projects delivers innovative vessels to the market.

Job Description
  • Set up and maintain accounting systems and processes for the project.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Manage project accounting: track costs, budgets, and forecasts for vessel construction.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian GAAP, tax regulations, and Bryton Marine Group policies.
  • Coordinate payroll data and submissions (may process payroll if division is carved out).
  • Support Program Director with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and cash management.
  • Assist with regulatory filings and project milestone reporting.
  • Implement internal controls and process improvements.Collaborate with HR, procurement, and operations teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation preferred).
  • 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
  • Project accounting experience in construction, manufacturing, or marine preferred. Must have previous experience with percentage of completion revenue recognition.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, ERP) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Canadian GAAP, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilities.

$80,000–$110,000 CAD + bonus, benefits, RRSP matching, relocation support.
