Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Shift pattern for this post is variable. Please note the salary is pro‑rata for part‑time hours. Please be advised that, effective 1 April 2026, the full‑time working hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours.

Responsibilities
  • Provide an accessible, appropriate, high‑quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service to all age groups in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies.
  • Be a first level Registered Nurse who will support the District Charge Nurse in delivering care to patients with complex needs.
  • Be responsible for providing skilled nursing interventions for patients.
Requirements
  • NMC registration and driving licence is essential.
  • NHS experience is preferable.
  • Must have a live NMC UK pin to be considered for this post.
