The opportunity: Do you have a passion for energy, with a desire to help connect the energy we all need to power our lives and livelihoods to the communities across North America? We’re seeking a communications professional who is energized by educating and inspiring employees with clear, consistent and fit-for-purpose communications to help them become energy advocates.

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications – Internal, this role will be central to enabling consistent, timely and impactful communications across our organization. You’ll support our employee programs and business partners by providing the tools and resources needed to tell our story and provide employees with the information they need most.

What You’ll Do
  • Prioritize, troubleshoot and escalate incoming communication requests
  • Activate our communications playbook by maintaining self-serve tools, templates and guidance documents and sharing with our internal business partners
  • Assess, review, edit and advise on internal communications plans and content
  • Write internal communications for a diverse employee base
  • Manage and publish content on our internal communication channels – for example, intranet news and announcements, weekly leader briefing newsletter and company-wide emails
  • Support project teams for corporate internal events such as town halls
  • Collaborate and liaise with the broader Communications and External Relations teams
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant post-secondary field such as communications, journalism, public relations or business
  • Prior co-op or internship experience in a communications team is an asset
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft 365 applications, specifically PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with content and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com)
  • Comfortable with web-based technology for managing incoming service requests and publishing communications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills to effectively work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a strong focus and attention to detail

Other requirements

  • Occasionally be available for extended work hours outside of standard business hours
